Merino is perfect for kids -
it is natural, it keeps them warm and toasty, it keeps them dry
when they sweat, it doesn't itch, it's lightweight and it's
comfortable. It's perfect for keeping them warm outdoors all winter
long, and they'll even want to wear it to bed too. What's great for
the mums (or dads) is that it can be machine washed and dryed over
and over and it won't lose its shape or pill.
Mini
MerinoTM kids clothing is made in
New Zealand from 100% pure New Zealand
merino wool so it's silky soft, snugly and doesn't itch
(ideal for children with eczema or sensitive skin) and is
naturally fire retardant. merino fibres naturally wick moisture
away from the body and in winter they trap air to help insulate the
body ie. help regulate your body temperature to keep you cool when
you're hot and warm when you're cold (or wet). The fabric handles
beautifully through wash after wash, retaining its functionality,
body and appearance.
Min MerinoTM garments come in two weights, the
light-weight superfine merino (190gm) is ideal for
year round use while the mid-weight jersey knit
(260gm) is great for those cooler winter days.
Zque
Accreditation
In striving for a high quality product Mini Merinoâ„¢ saw
the importance of the sustainability of our supply chain. As a
result we purchase 100% of our merino from a company who is Zque
accredited. Zque is an accreditation programme that ensures
environmental, social and economic sustainability, animal welfare
and traceability. It covers everything from 'free range' conditions
for the Merino to the welfare of sheep dogs. From provision of
shelter and comfort, to a strict no mulesing policy. It ensures
farmers follow guidelines on soil conservation and waste water
pollution. It provides long-term contracts for farmers so they can
invest in their businesses. In fact Zque is an accreditation
process that takes responsibility for the total Merino production,
and it is one of the first in the world. See www.zque.co.nz for further
information.
Care and Handling
Washing
Always turn this Merino garment inside out (and do the zip
up) to wash and dry.
Machine wash luke warm gentle wool cycle. 40 degree C
maximum.
Use approved mild Wool detergent.
Wash dark colours separately
Do not bleach or spot clean (this includes
NapiSan) - most laundry powders contain whiteners
which act like bleach, even 'eco-whiteners' may still bleach your
garment creating bleach spots and
holes!
If the garment is stained, use a
stain soap and rub into the effected area before washing ie Sards
wonder soap (from your local supermarket).
We recommend you use a DELICATES WASH BAG
to protect your Mini Merino clothing from other articles of
clothing which may cause abrasion (particularly zips and
jeans).
Drying
Tumble dry on low heat setting or lay the garment flat away from
direct sunlight.
Dry cleaning
Your garment may be dry cleaned.
